Description

MoSi₂ (Molybdenum Disilicide) heating elements are high-performance resistance elements made primarily from pure molybdenum disilicide. When exposed to an oxidizing atmosphere at high temperatures, the surface forms a protective quartz film that prevents further oxidation. These elements are ideal for high-temperature applications ranging from 500°C to 1800°C, including sintering and heat treatment in ceramics, magnets, glass, metallurgy, and refractories.

The recommended installation method for U-shaped elements is vertical suspension from the furnace top using specialized support clamps. This approach prevents mechanical stress from concentrating on the heating zone of the element, significantly reducing the risk of fracture and extending service life.
